Ear Training: Songs for the Intervals

A common way to learn intervals is to associate each interval you learn with the first interval in a common song. Here are some songs that can help you remember your intervals:

Minor 2nd:

  • Ascending: Jaws Theme Song
  • Descending: Fur Elise (Beethoven)

Major 2nd:

  • Ascending: Happy Birthday to You
  • Descending: Mary Had a Little Lamb

Minor 3rd:

  • Ascending: O Canada
  • Descending: Frosty the Snowman

Major 3rd:

Perfect 4th:
